Your XML sitemap is the list of pages you ask Google to index, so every URL in it should load, be final and be indexable. We find your sitemap, validate it, and test a sample of its URLs.
Free, no signup. Results in about 2 minutes, along with the rest of a full SEO audit of the page.

Questions
How do I find my XML sitemap?
Try yoursite.com/sitemap.xml or /sitemap_index.xml, or look for a Sitemap: line in yoursite.com/robots.txt. Most CMSs (WordPress with an SEO plugin, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace) create one automatically.
What should an XML sitemap contain?
Only canonical URLs that return 200 and that you want indexed. Leave out redirects, error pages, noindex pages, duplicates with tracking parameters and pages blocked by robots.txt.
Should my sitemap be in robots.txt?
Yes. Adding Sitemap: https://yoursite.com/sitemap.xml to robots.txt lets every search engine find it, not just the ones you submit it to in their webmaster tools.
How many URLs can a sitemap have?
Up to 50,000 URLs or 50 MB uncompressed per file. Larger sites split their URLs across several sitemaps and list them in a sitemap index.
