URL is long or hard to read
Low priorityOn-page SEO
The URL is over 100 characters, has uppercase letters or underscores, or carries many query parameters.
What triggers this issue
- URL is longer than 100 characters.
- URL contains uppercase letters.
- URL uses underscores instead of hyphens.
- URL has many query parameters.
Why it matters
Short, readable URLs are easier to share and trust, and Google shows them in results. Uppercase letters make URLs case-sensitive duplicates, and Google treats hyphens, not underscores, as word separators.
This is a low priority: don’t change working URLs just for style.
How to fix it
- Use short, lowercase, hyphenated paths that describe the page, like
/leather-wallets/. - If you change a URL, 301-redirect the old one and update internal links.
