Structured data missing or invalid

Medium priorityOn-page SEO

The page has no schema.org structured data, or its JSON-LD can’t be parsed, so it can’t earn rich results.

What triggers this issue

  • No structured data found.
  • A JSON-LD block can’t be parsed (often a trailing comma or unescaped quote).

Why it matters

Structured data describes the page in a form machines understand: a product with a price, an article with an author, a business with an address. Google uses it for rich results like stars, prices and breadcrumbs, and AI assistants use it to understand and cite pages.

A JSON-LD block with a syntax error is ignored completely.

How to fix it

  1. Add JSON-LD for your organization and for the page type (Article, Product, LocalBusiness, FAQPage…).
  2. Validate it with Google’s Rich Results Test or the Schema Markup Validator.
Organization JSON-LD
<script type="application/ld+json">
{
  "@context": "https://schema.org",
  "@type": "Organization",
  "name": "Your Brand",
  "url": "https://example.com",
  "logo": "https://example.com/logo.png"
}
</script>
