Internal links pointing to redirects
Low priorityContent
Links on the page go to URLs on your site that redirect elsewhere instead of linking to the final page.
What triggers this issue
- One or more internal links return a 3xx redirect.
Why it matters
Each redirect adds a round-trip for visitors and crawlers, and chains build up over time as URLs change again. Linking to the final URL is faster and keeps signals clean.
How to fix it
- Update each link to the redirect’s destination (shown in your report).
- Watch for http/https, www and trailing-slash differences, the most common causes.
